Porsche 911 — 997 Series (2004–2012)

Introduced in 2004, the 997 restored the familiar 911 design language while advancing performance and refinement.

Round headlamps returned, proportions were sharpened and interior quality elevated. Beneath the surface, engineering evolved further — culminating in direct fuel injection, PDK transmission and some of the most celebrated GT and RS variants of the modern era.

The 997 balanced heritage and progress with precision.

Recognisable. Refined. Reassuringly 911.

I. 2004–2008 — 997.1

The first phase reintroduced round headlamps and improved interior quality, combining familiar 911 character with enhanced chassis balance and expanding GT and Turbo variants.

II. 2009–2012 — 997.2

A significant technical evolution, featuring direct fuel injection and the introduction of PDK. Increased efficiency, sharper response and further refinement defined the final and most advanced development of the 997 generation.
