Porsche 911 — 993 Series (1994–1998)

Introduced in 1994, the 993 marked the final chapter of the air-cooled 911.

While visually refined with smoother bodywork and redesigned suspension, it retained the unmistakable mechanical character that defined its predecessors. The multi-link rear axle transformed handling, making it both more composed and more capable than any 911 before it.

For many enthusiasts, the 993 represents the ultimate evolution of the classic air-cooled formula — modern enough to drive daily, yet pure enough to remain timeless.

The end of air-cooled. The perfection of a lineage.

The final and most focused expressions of the air-cooled era.

I. 1994–1995 — Carrera 2 & 4

The new generation debuted with improved aerodynamics and a multilink rear suspension, offering greater stability while preserving the character of the classic air-cooled flat-six.

II. 1995–1997 — Turbo

Twin turbochargers and all-wheel drive elevated performance dramatically, redefining the high-performance 911 with both power and everyday usability.

III. 1997–1998 — RS & GT1 & 2

The most focused and uncompromising variants. The lightweight RS and homologation-driven GT2 embodied the purest and most extreme interpretation of the 993 platform.
